Live Ants
Live ant queens and their workers straight from Hangyapolisz. What makes them special is that each queen is given a unique name on our TikTok channel. Mostly native ant species can be purchased on the site, with the exception of a few exotic species, so Hungarian species require hibernating. Hibernating ants need to hibernate at ~5-8°C between ~October and March. This could be in a fridge or even a wine cooler. There are so-called harvester and leaf cutter species, which require special food (seeds or leaves). In addition, it is worth looking at the “More Information” tabs on the data sheets for each species, as they contain important information about their husbandry.
